Saigon Tex is one of the biggest and most influential events in the textile and garment industry of Vietnam. Started in the 1990s, this is the only textile and garment industry exhibition that has been approved by UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). It is also the biggest international exhibition (in all industries) in Vietnam. The Saigon Textile & Garment Industry Expo is held concurrently with the Vietnam Saigon Fabric & Garment Accessories Expo. Together, these expos provide a one-stop market for all buyers, Manufacturers in Vietnam and the neighbouring countries.
As the COVID-19 situation is under control in Vietnam and the rest of the world, the travel-related restrictions have been completely lifted. Therefore, this prestigious textile and garment industry exhibition made a massive comeback. This year, the Saigon Textile & Garment Industry Expo started on July 27 and came to an end on July 30, 2022. The event was held at the SECC (Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center) at 799 Nguyen Van Linh Parkway, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Highlights of the Event
The entire event was endorsed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, VITAS (the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association), and AGTEK (the Association of Garment Textile Embroidery Knitting of HCMC). It was jointly organised by VINATEX, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In this event, 282 exhibitors from 17 different countries, including China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Vietnam, participated in the event. A total of 22,374 trade visitors attended this event (Day 1-5,368 visitors, Day 2-6,632 visitors, Day 3-7,024 visitors and Day 4-3,350 visitors).
